CLD Students Lead Outreach
Christian Leadership Development (CLD) is a one-year residential program of Bible study and ministry to prepare students for effective Christian leadership. As part of their ministry training, CLD students conducted a three-day outreach in the village of Malima. The 31 students sang spiritual songs for the entire five-hour journey to Malima. Arriving at 10 p.m. on a Friday, the outreach group received a “thunderous welcome,” according to CLD Director Wilson Siazilo, and soon the preaching began. After two lessons, there were singing groups who displayed their talents late into the night.
On Saturday there were more speakers and singing, plus individual Bible studies. On Sunday the group gathered at Lake Kariba to witness the baptism of four individuals.
